Ordergroove
Job Description
Who We Are:
At Ordergroove, our mission is to transform commerce by putting relationships, not transactions, at the center. We help leading brands create seamless subscription and membership experiences that turn one-time shoppers into lifelong customers.
Founded in 2010, we are a remote-first company whose platform powers the world’s most loved recurring experiences for brands like L’Oréal, GNC, and PetSmart. Our team of curious builders and bold problem solvers is united by one belief: meaningful relationships drive lasting growth. Join us and help shape the future of relationship commerce.
About the Role:
We're hiring a People Operations Specialist to be the connective tissue of our team member experience and to be an integral part of how we continue to innovate and reimagine how we do this work. This is a hands-on, executional role for someone who genuinely loves owning the details, but who also brings a builder's instinct: a forward thinker who looks at our current practices and sees how we can uplevel them without limits.
You'll touch nearly every part of the team member life cycle, from candidate experience and interview coordination through onboarding, engagement, and exit. You'll be the operational engine behind the moments that make Ordergroove feel like Ordergroove from our quarterly leadership offsites, to our annual company all hands, and our weekly team updates (and all the fun moments in between!). Some days you'll be deep in HR workflows; others you'll be sourcing a new swag vendor, scoping a venue, or drafting a Glassdoor response with our marketing team. Across all of it, you'll have a keen eye for the details that signal care: the timeline that actually holds, the onboarding moment that lands, the small thing nobody else noticed.
You won't be doing this alone. You'll join a small but mighty HR team whose culture, kindness, and talent are genuinely the best parts of working here. We like each other, we trust each other, and we take real pride in the craft of our work, and we're looking for a teammate who's going to push us, bring fresh ideas to the table, and help us keep raising the bar on what great People Ops looks like.
This is a builder's seat for someone who sees a manual process and immediately wants to systematize it, who's energized by experimenting with new tools and technology, and who takes real pride in being the person everyone trusts to keep things running.
What You Will Do:
- Support recruiting operations and coordination. Partner closely with hiring managers, recruiters, and interview teams to schedule interviews, coordinate candidate communications, maintain pipeline trackers, and help create a thoughtful, high-touch candidate experience.
- Bring a fresh perspective. Look at how we do things today, ask sharp questions, and make recommendations on how we can uplevel, and know that we'll actually execute on them. We want a teammate who's energized by that loop: spot the opportunity, propose the change, ship it, see the impact.
- Stay on the leading edge of tools and technology. Love experimenting with new platforms, automations, and AI tooling, and bring that curiosity into the work, not as a side project, but as part of how you operate every day.
- Own our HRIS. Manage Rippling end-to-end from permissions, automated workflows, troubleshooting, and the day-to-day questions that come from across the company. Bring (or quickly build) deep comfort with logic and automation; we want this to be your craft, not your chore.
- Run the employee life cycle. Project manage new hire onboarding from offer acceptance through their first 60 days, keeping hiring teams aligned and timelines tight. Lead our Ordergroove 101 session, conduct 60-day check-ins and exit interviews, and help us close the loop on the feedback we collect.
- Handle the logistics that make the company work. Track and ship devices, manage equipment allowances, keep our swag inventory healthy, and make sure every new hire feels welcomed on day one. Lead the planning for our quarterly leadership off-sites and our annual all hands: venues, agendas, activities, the works.
- Build our reporting muscle. Pull and maintain people data: turnover, recruiting metrics, life cycle reporting, and find ways to automate what we do manually today.
- Support internal communications. Keep our weekly company meeting running smoothly: scheduling, slide coordination, speaker prep, and yes, the music.
- Steward our employer brand. Maintain our profiles on Glassdoor and Indeed, draft thoughtful responses to reviews, and partner with marketing to bring them live.
- Handle employment verifications and the small asks that keep the trains running.
About You:
- You have 2+ years of People Operations, HR, or HR/Recruiting Coordinator experience, ideally in a remote-first or distributed environment.
- You’re comfortable managing scheduling logistics and coordinating across multiple stakeholders while keeping candidates and hiring teams informed and organized. Greenhouse experience is a strong plus, but comfort with any ATS is great.
- You are highly organized and detail-oriented, to the point where it's a personality trait, not a skill on a résumé.
- You're comfortable juggling tactical execution and light project management without losing the thread on either.
- You've worked in (or are excited to go deep on) a modern HRIS. Rippling experience is a strong plus, but comfort with workflows, logic, and automation is what matters most.
- You're a clear, warm communicator who can work across every level of the company, from a first-week new hire to an executive planning an off-site.
- You take genuine pride in operational craft, you understand that the unglamorous, behind-the-scenes work is a significant part of what makes a company feel like a great place to work.
Bonus Points For:
- Experience planning company off-sites or all hands events.
- A track record of automating manual people processes (Rippling, Zapier, similar).
- Familiarity with employer brand work: Glassdoor, LinkedIn, etc.
- Experience supporting employee listening programs (check-ins, exit interviews, feedback loops).
If you don’t meet 100% of the qualifications outlined above - that’s okay, nobody’s perfect! We encourage you to apply if you think this is a role that would make you excited to come into work every day.
