Railserve is hiring dependable, safety-focused Heavy Equipment Operators in Texas and Kansas to support rail track construction projects. This is a hands-on, outdoor role responsible for operating heavy machinery and supporting field crews to complete projects safely and efficiently.Who We Are

Job Description
In this role, you will operate various types of heavy equipment to move materials, support construction activities, and maintain equipment performance.
You may also assist with general track labor duties as needed to support project success.

Schedule:
Full-time; schedule varies based on project and travel requirements
Compensation:
$25.00 – $35.00 per hour (based on experience)
Duties
- Operate heavy equipment including loaders, backhoes, excavators, and bulldozers
- Load, haul, and unload materials and equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment
- Identify equipment issues and report needed repairs to supervisors
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow all company safety standards and operating procedures
- Assist with track labor and field work as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 2–4 years of heavy equipment operation experience
- Experience with rail construction equipment preferred
- Ability to operate backhoes, front-end loaders, and similar equipment
- Willingness and ability to travel to job sites for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, laser, and machine control systems is a plus
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift, carry, and handle heavy materials and equipment
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
- FRA certification required when applicable
- CDL is a plus
