About the role
Sr Sales Executive, Spot - Industrial Sales
Boston Dynamics is deploying Spot, the world's most capable mobile inspection robot, into some of the most demanding industrial environments in the world - manufacturing plants. We're looking for an experienced enterprise sales professional to own a territory, build a pipeline, and close complex deals with industrial customers across a range of sectors.
Boston Dynamics is a world leader in mobile robots, tackling some of the toughest robotics challenges. For years, our awe-inspiring viral videos on YouTube have shown the world what remarkably capable robots can do. Now we are quickly becoming a recognized leader in automation solutions for industrial applications and warehouse logistics.
This is a hunter role. You'll carry a quota, manage a full sales cycle from prospecting to close, and serve as the primary commercial relationship for accounts in your territory. You'll work cross-functionally with our applications, solutions engineering, and customer success teams to deliver real operational value.
What You Will Own
- Develop and execute a territory plan targeting industrial accounts across manufacturing, energy, utilities, logistics, and related sectors
- Manage pipeline from identification through close, with accountability for quarterly and annual quota attainment
- Qualify, develop, and close new business via direct outreach, on-site visits, demos, trade shows, and partner channels
- Conduct live Spot demonstrations at customer sites and industry events
- Partner with channel and reseller partners where applicable to extend coverage
- Provide market feedback to product and marketing teams on customer requirements and competitive dynamics
- Represent Boston Dynamics at trade shows, conferences, and seminars — including events outside your primary territory as needed
What You Bring
- 5+ years of enterprise or complex product sales experience; industrial, robotics, or capital equipment strongly preferred
- Demonstrated track record of closing large contracts with industrial or manufacturing customers
- Experience managing both direct and channel/partner sales motions
- Strong existing relationships within industrial operations, engineering, or procurement a strong plus
- Strong presentation and communication skills — you can run a live demo and a boardroom meeting with equal confidence
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 60% of the time, including international travel
Physical Requirements:
This role requires the ability to transport, set up, and operate Spot demonstration equipment, which includes lifting and handling up to 70 lbs.
Comp & Benefits:
- Uncapped commission earning structure; spiff and other compensation opportunities
- Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off
- Territory will be defined based on candidate location and experience
The base pay range for this position is between $118,193 to $131,325 annually + commission. Base pay will depend on multiple individualized factors including, but not limited to internal equity, job related knowledge, skills and experience. This range represents a good faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting. Boston Dynamics offers a generous Benefits package including medical, dental vision, 401(k), paid time off and an annual bonus structure.
