About the role
Liquid Personnel is seeking an experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join its client’s team based in Gloucester. This is a part-time role (3 days per week) with hybrid working arrangements, including onsite visits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of children and young people with a range of needs, including complex disabilities
- Provide occupationally focused assessments, reports, and interventions
- Act as an expert advisor and practitioner in Children’s OT, offering second opinions when OT provision in EHCPs is contested
- Lead OT input for SEND appeals and tribunal legal processes
- Work closely with the EHCP Team and other stakeholders, contributing to appeals as an expert witness
Requirements:
- Degree in Occupational Therapy
- HCPC Registration
- Significant experience working with children with SEND
- Proven ability to produce high-quality reports for EHCPs
- Strong understanding of legal duties and the SEND Code of Practice
- Experience in social services and paediatric settings
