Job Summary
Job Duties:• Provide treatment to patients with various eye disorders in both clinical and surgical settings, teach trainees (resident physicians and medical students), and participate in various meetings and conferences.
• Provide ophthalmology medical and surgical services as needed Supervise and train residents and medical students on the Service according to service need, rotation, and call schedule as applicable.
• Attend and participate in lectures, rounds, committee assignments, and academic activities.
• Develop referral and educational relationships within Mass Eye and Ear Associates and with other regional and national practices.
• Develop, maintain, and as appropriate, secure funding for academic activities (translational research, clinical trials and other clinical research, and/or developing educational programs).
• Perform administrative and committee responsibilities as assigned from time to time by the Chief or Service Director, including participation in, or organization of, continuing medical education courses in provider area of specialty.
Qualifications
Requirements: Requirements include a MD or equivalent degree, and completion of a four (4) year residency program in Ophthalmology as well as a one (1) year cornea fellowship.
Special Skills or Other Requirements: Must possess or be eligible to obtain a full license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and must possess Board certification or be Board eligible in Ophthalmology.

Salary: $261,000.00 - $340,000.00/year. 40 hours/wk full-time.
