About the role

TELUS Health is empowering every person to live their healthiest life. Guided by our vision, we are leveraging the power of our leading edge technology and focusing on the uniqueness of each individual to create the future of health. As a global-leading health and well-being provider – encompassing physical, mental and financial health – TELUS Health is improving health outcomes for consumers, patients, healthcare professionals, employers and employees.

Join our team and what we'll accomplish together

At TELUS Health, we're transforming how organizations manage their most complex benefits challenges. Our Retirement & Benefit Solutions team partners with leading enterprises to modernize and implement Defined Benefit pension platforms—work that directly impacts thousands of employees and retirees.

As a Senior Project Manager, you won't just oversee implementation timelines. You'll own the complete delivery story—from the first client conversation through successful go-live and transition to operations. You'll lead through complexity, build trusted relationships with C-suite executives, steer multi-million dollar initiatives, and mentor the next generation of delivery leaders. This is leadership that shapes how organizations transform, and it requires someone who can balance strategic vision with meticulous execution.

If you thrive navigating ambiguity, inspiring cross-functional teams, and turning intricate challenges into client wins, this is your role.

What you'll do

Your Week in Focus:

You'll divide your time between strategic leadership and hands-on delivery. You'll start your week in governance forums—steering committee calls, executive status reviews, and decision meetings—where you present insights, flag risks, and secure buy-in for critical decisions. Mid-week, you're embedded with your configuration, data, QA, development, and integration teams, ensuring every workstream is aligned and integrated. You're the "single throat to choke" for your client—the one they call when they have concerns, when scope shifts, or when they need confidence that their project is on track.

You'll proactively manage risks before they become crises: spotting dependencies early, modeling scenarios, stress-testing timelines, and presenting options with clear recommendations. You're accountable for scope, schedule, budget, and quality—and you're not afraid to have tough conversations about trade-offs.

You'll also:

  • Lead change management, scope control, and financial tracking with precision

  • Plan and optimize resource allocation across multiple workstreams

  • Champion PMO standards and best practices, improving how the team delivers

  • Mentor junior project managers and coordinators, growing future leaders

  • Harness AI and automation to strengthen governance—think: executive dashboards, risk trend analysis, dependency mapping, and delivery forecasting powered by tools that amplify your leadership

What you bring

Must-Have Experience & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of project management experience, with proven success delivering complex Defined Benefit pension implementation projects end-to-end

  • Mastery of client-facing software implementation delivery, particularly projects with multiple workstreams and senior stakeholders

  • Deep knowledge of pension administration—processes, pain points, and technology landscapes

  • Executive-level communication and stakeholder management—you speak fluently with C-suite clients and senior leaders

  • Demonstrated expertise in risk management, financial control, and change control across large-scale initiatives

  • Proven track record leading governance forums and steering committees with senior client stakeholders

  • Leadership of integrated, multi-disciplinary teams across configuration, data, QA, product, development, and integration functions

  • AI fluency and digital leadership mindset—hands-on experience applying generative AI, copilots, or automation to improve delivery insights, governance, and decision support

  • Understanding of responsible AI practices, including data privacy, security, and appropriate use of enterprise-approved tools

  • Ability to identify and champion practical AI use cases (e.g., executive reporting automation, risk trend analysis, dependency mapping, forecasting)

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Bilingual proficiency (English and French)

  • PMP or similar project management certification

  • Experience with SaaS platforms, data migration, and system integrations

  • Familiarity with tools like Azure DevOps (ADO), Jira, or comparable platforms

Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. We encourage all qualified candidates to apply, even if the posted salary range doesn't match your expectations. We're open to discussing competitive compensation packages tailored to your experience level and expertise.

TELUS Health offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:

  • Comprehensive total rewards package highlighting competitive salary and bonus structures, minimum 3 weeks of vacation, and flexible benefits plan to meet the needs of you and your family

  • Flexibility to work in-office, virtually or a combination of both

  • Generous company matched pension

  • Opportunity to give back to communities in which we work, live and serve

  • Career growth and learning & development opportunities to develop your skills

Why TELUS Health? You'll work on mission-critical projects that matter to thousands of employees and retirees. You'll have autonomy, visibility at the highest levels, and the backing of a technology leader committed to innovation in health and benefits. Plus, you'll be part of a delivery culture that values continuous improvement, mentorship, and responsible use of AI to amplify human expertise—not replace it.
