Title: Sr. Service Engineer – Equipment Health Monitoring Development

Key Accountabilities:
- Analyze operational data to detect engine trends promptly and define requirements for trend algorithms and digital tools to enable early failure prediction.
- Collaborate with MTU Service Engineering teams, including EHM in Germany, to provide guidance, training, and support for Equipment Health Monitors across the Americas.
- Support MTU Go! Commissioning by assisting with setup and final validation before customer service handover.
- Address nuisance alarms by working with Application Engineering teams to adjust settings and remove unnecessary alerts, enhancing customer experience.
- Foster a safety and compliance culture while upholding the Rolls Royce Code of Conduct.
- Carry out additional responsibilities as required to meet operational and growth objectives
Basic Requirements:
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S without sponsorship. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology plus 5 years of experience in engine troubleshooting, diagnostics, or service engineering involving internal combustion engines is required; alternatively, candidates with 9 years of relevant hands-on troubleshooting, diagnostics, or service engineering with internal combustion engines will also be considered.
- Willingness and ability to travel both domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Comprehensive understanding of mechanical or electrical aspects of engines and related tools, such as their design, operation, maintenance, repair, major overhauls, and diesel engine tuning.
- Strong ability to interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, wiring schematics, computer-generated reports, and engine data files.
- Advanced analytical and creative problem-solving abilities, enabling the development of tools to address complex or poorly defined issues.
- Knowledge of MTU comparable diesel products, and their applications.
- Strong interpersonal oral/written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, planning and follow through skills.
- Experience working with international and/or interdisciplinary teams.
