As our next Quality & Food Safety (Q&FS) Site Manager, you will play a pivotal role in bringing this commitment to life. You will hold end-to-end operational and strategic responsibility for Q&FS at the site level, ensuring that every product leaving our facility is safe, legal, and exceeds consumer expectations.


As a key member of the Site Leadership Team, you will drive our site-wide Quality agenda, foster a robust quality culture, and lead a dedicated team of Q&FS Associates in a trustful, transparent, and collaborative environment


What you’ll do:

  • Partner with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Commercial teams to shape, align, and execute the site's holistic business strategy and Q&FS priorities.

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire the site Q&FS team.

  • Deploy and maintain Mars Q&FS standards, driving end-to-end compliance with internal policies, legal guidelines, and external regulatory requirements.

  • Lead risk assessment and hold/release protocols (PRIMP); set robust factory start-up guidelines following critical incidents.

  • Oversee change management processes, ensuring technical site changes protect Key Quality Attributes (KQAs), food safety, and legal parameters.

  • Direct the corrective action loop and quality reviews to constantly elevate site performance.

  • Manage non-conformities, technical consumer complaints, and optimize the site T0 CAB budget.

  • Drive technical capability-building programs for both Q&FS specialists and broader Supply Associates.

Your unique ingredients: 

  • Degree-level qualification in a relevant technical or scientific discipline (Food Science, Food Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or Engineering) or equivalent experience.

  • Extensive experience in a technical or quality function within a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) or food manufacturing environment.

  • Proven track record of line management with a passion for coaching, developing teams, and cultivating a high-performing collaborative environment.

  • Strong working knowledge of Food Safety Management Systems, HACCP, global quality standards, and regulatory compliance.

  • Strong change management and project management capabilities. Outstanding communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders at all levels.
