HPE Cray System Management ( CSM ) is a manageability platform engineered over Kubernetes that runs microservices and cloud technologies for provisioning , configuring , monitoring and maintaining of large-scale HPC systems .CSM is built with open architecture leveraging open source tools and products that also gives flexibility to customer to extend or harden to meet his needs .
We are seeking a highly motivated DevOps Engineer to support the Build, Integration, and Continuous Delivery activities for the Cray System Management (CSM) platform hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
What you'll do:
Responsibilities:
- Design, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
- Manage build, integration, and release activities for the CSM software stack.
- Support source code management practices using GitHub, including branching, pull requests, code reviews, and release management.
- Automate software build, testing, packaging, and deployment workflows.
- Monitor and troubleshoot build failures, integration issues, and deployment problems.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation scripts.
- Support container image creation, vulnerability scanning, and artifact management.
- Collaborate with development teams to improve build reliability, quality gates, and deployment efficiency.
- Support Kubernetes-based deployments and environment management on GCP.
- Implement and maintain DevOps best practices, including security, observability, and automation.
- Participate in release planning, integration testing, and production readiness activities.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, operational runbooks, and troubleshooting guides.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce build times and improve deployment reliability.
What you need to bring:
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- Typically 6-10 years experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Jenkins pipeline development and administration.
- Strong experience with Git and GitHub.
- Familiarity with Git workflows, branching strategies, pull requests, and merge management.
- Experience managing GitHub Action
- Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience deploying and managing applications on Kubernetes.
- Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
- Understanding of software supply chain security.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices.
