Responsible for providing legal advisory and support across a range of commercial and insurance-related matters to safeguard the organisation’s interests.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Review and advise on agreements including digital marketing campaigns, IT agreements, service agreements, collaboration agreements.
• Manage and strategise on pre-litigation and litigation matters
• Providing accurate and strategic solutioning to legal issues arising from the insurance business.
• Managing stakeholders including lawyers and coordinating with external legal counsels where required.
• Advise on insurance and agency related matters.
• Any additional task assigned by superior.

Job Specification:   

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or equivalent LLB qualification from a recognized local or overseas higher learning institution

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience, either in an inhouse or law firm environment
• Prior experience in both agreement review and litigation will be an advantage
• Experience in financial services is not a prerequisite but an additional advantage

Knowledge & Skills         

• Good command in English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Enjoys speed to market environment
• A passionate team player who can work with minimal supervision though team help is always a shout away
