More about the role

Signify is amid the design, build and deployment of a global greenfield S/4HANA solution. To support the deployment and ensure stable operations and continuous optimization, we are establishing a global application maintenance organization.

The SAP BTP Functional Engineer is responsible for supporting the S/4 HANA deployments and supporting and optimizing SAP Business Technology Platform solutions in a post go-live application maintenance environment. Collaborates within a global team and works closely with business stakeholders, partners and cross-functional teams to ensure stable, secure and scalable digital solutions. The role focuses on technical support, issue resolution, system stability and operational effectiveness across cloud integrations, extensions and platform services.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Support Product Owners, key users and project teams in maintaining SAP BTP solutions aligned to the global template and deploying the global S/4 HANA implementation on a local level.

Support and enhance SAP BTP capabilities across Integration Suite, CPI, API Management, Event Mesh and Extension Suite, including integrations, APIs, cloud extensions and workflow automation.

Provide end-to-end functional and technical support in an AMS environment including incident management, service requests, defect resolution and root cause analysis in line with agreed service levels.

Monitor and manage integration workloads, cloud applications, interfaces and platform configurations to ensure stable and consistent operations.

Support integration and extension scenarios with ECC / S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, Ariba, Concur, IBP, BW and non-SAP systems.

Support technical processes with strong integration across ERP, cloud platforms, middleware, security and DevOps domains.

Provide user support, technical guidance and knowledge sharing to enable consistent adoption and operational effectiveness.

Support modernization and simplification of legacy integrations and technical interfaces using SAP BTP services where applicable.

Support enhancements and implementation activities related to ongoing S/4HANA programs and integration requirements where applicable.

Critical Experiences and Skills

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related technical field.

Hands-on experience in SAP BTP implementation and/or support with strong technical expertise in Integration Suite, CPI, API Management, Event Mesh and Extension Suite.

Strong hands-on experience with iFlows, mappings, Groovy scripts, APIs, security roles, destinations and BTP subaccount configurations.

Strong understanding of integration scenarios with ECC / S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, Ariba, Concur, IBP, BW and third-party systems.

Experience working in a global application maintenance support or production support environment including stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.

Experience in system enhancements, incident resolution, problem management, monitoring and delivery of supportable technical solutions.

Experience in technical documentation, integration catalogs, architecture diagrams, runbooks and test scenarios.

Good understanding of cloud application lifecycle management, DevOps pipelines and technical service delivery practices.

Knowledge of CAP (Node.js / Java), SAPUI5 / Fiori, SAP Build Apps, Cloud Foundry, Kyma runtime or ABAP is an advantage.

SAP BTP, Integration Suite or Extension Suite certifications are an advantage.

Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Ability to work effectively in a global, complex and highly integrated business environment.

Grading Differentiators

Able to resolve moderately complex technical issues across integrated SAP and non-SAP landscapes.
