Friendship Hospital for Animals, a leading AAHA- accredited hospital located in Washington D.C. is seeking a kind and compassionate veterinary technician to join our primary care team! If you have a passion for patient care and client connection – we’d love to meet you!
About the role:
As a primary care veterinary technician, you will provide high level patient and client care while assisting primary care veterinarians in the exam room, on the treatment floor, and in general surgery. Our ideal candidate is detail oriented, excels at communicating with both clients and peers, and has a solid foundation of technical skills to build on. Ideally, this person is skilled at all types of venipuncture and comfortable with anesthesia on both feline and canine patients. We are looking for a good cultural fit, so someone that enjoys being a productive team player and wants to keep learning is ideal.
Schedule: The schedule is four 10 hour shifts per week with a rotating Saturday. This is a full time position.

Qualifications
- Credentialed veterinary technician preferred (LVT, RVT, CVT)
- 1-2 years experience working as a veterinary technician strongly preferred.
