DESCRIPTION:

Join our team as a Senior Sales Operations Analyst and contribute to commercial excellence at Thermo Fisher Scientific. You'll collaborate with sales leadership to optimize processes, analyze performance data, and implement strategies that enable our mission of making the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. This position combines analytical expertise with strategic thinking to enhance sales effectiveness across our organization. You'll use advanced tools and technologies to provide data-driven insights that inform business decisions and support growth.

Working collaboratively, you'll develop and maintain reporting and analytics capabilities, manage sales operations processes, and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Your work will directly impact our ability to serve customers across research, clinical, and commercial production, helping advance scientific breakthroughs and improve healthcare outcomes.

How you will make an impact:

  • Own the development and relationship with groups on our sales tools, with a particular focus on Salesforce

  • Ensure return on investment (ROI) and maximize usage of sales tools across the organization

  • Develop and maintain reporting and analytics capabilities to support data-driven decision making

  • Collaborate with sales leadership to optimize processes and implement strategies for sales effectiveness

  • Manage and improve sales operations processes to enhance overall commercial performance

What you will do:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and optimization of sales tools, especially Salesforce

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with various groups to ensure effective use of sales tools

  • Analyze tool usage and performance data to identify areas for improvement and maximize ROI

  • Create and maintain dashboards and reports to track sales performance and tool effectiveness

  • Provide training and support to sales teams to increase adoption and proficiency with sales tools

  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure seamless integration of sales tools with other systems

  • Continuously evaluate new technologies and propose improvements to enhance sales operations

REQUIREMENTS:

How you will get here:

  • Masters Degree or 8 years of experience in sales operations, analytics, or related commercial support roles

  • Preferred Fields of Study: Business, Finance, Analytics, or related field

  • Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools including Power BI, SQL, Excel, and Salesforce.com

  • Strong project management skills with proven ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously

  • Experience developing and maintaining sales performance dashboards and reporting systems

  • Deep understanding of sales processes, territory management, and quota setting

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail

  • Outstanding communication skills and ability to present complex data to senior leadership

  • Experience working in collaborative organizations and partnering with cross-functional stakeholders

  • Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions

  • Knowledge of sales compensation design and administration preferred

  • Experience with AI-backed sales enablement tools, including Salesforce Einstein and Agentforce preferred

  • Experience in life sciences, healthcare, or related industries preferred

  • Ability to travel up to 25% as needed

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities
