GENERAL STATEMENT OF THE FUNCTION

The Admission Processor plays a critical role in the enrollment process and the student admission experience by managing and verifying application materials submitted by prospective students. This position involves reviewing applications for completeness, entering and updating applicant data in our student information system, and ensuring that all required documents—such as transcripts, test scores, and residency documents—are accurately received and recorded. The Admission Processor may work closely with applicants, co-workers, and departments to resolve discrepancies, meet processing deadlines, and maintain data integrity. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service are essential, as processors frequently communicate with applicants to support a smooth admissions experience.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree OR an Associate's Degree with two or more years of related experience.
- Strong technical skills are required. The Admission Processor must be able to pick up on new technology and must already be proficient with Microsoft products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Maintain knowledge of diversity-related issues, legislation, and best practices.
- Review and process admission applications in our student information system, Workday.
- Evaluate and process transcripts to ensure compliance with admission requirements.
- Review and determine residency status for admission and audit compliance.
- Verify the completeness and accuracy of all submitted application materials, including transcripts, residency documents, and test scores.
- Scan, index, and file documents electronically and/or physically, maintaining accurate and organized student records.
- Maintain intricate knowledge of college admission requirements and procedures to effectively assist applicants and staff.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all student services areas to provide holistic support to students.
- Update student records in Workday as new documents are received, ensuring data integrity and compliance with admission standards, as well as a way to knowledge-share with other departments.
- Provide timely and professional communication with applicants via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Maintain outstanding and unwavering customer service at all times.
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments to resolve admission-related issues on behalf of students.
- Review daily reports to identify and address missing data or documents.
- Review audit reports to ensure continued compliance with state and institutional admission requirements.
- Maintain an understanding of state audit standards and review data daily for compliance accuracy.
- Review audit reports and take corrective actions, as needed, to ensure compliance with state and institutional admission requirements.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay current on evolving admissions policies, procedures, and technology.
- Provide coverage or support in the Enrollment Center as needed, assisting with student flow and service coverage.
- Maintain normal working hours and work periodic extended office hours during peak enrollment seasons, such as January and August.
