Description
This apprenticeship project offers exposure to the pharmaceutical innovation and startup ecosystem in India. The apprentice will support the Corporate Affairs team through desk research and analysis of innovation platforms, startup engagement models, and global best practices to inform planning for Lilly India Innovation Day.
This role involves
- Research pharma and life sciences innovation platforms in India (e.g., BioAsia, India Pharma, Invest India, INDOVATION using publicly available sources
- Map how these platforms engage with the startup ecosystem (accelerators, demo days, innovation challenges, awards, etc.)
- Identify startup categories and participant profiles relevant to pharmaceutical innovation (high‑level, non‑evaluative)
- Curate conceptual inputs for Lilly Innovation Day, including:
- Potential participant categories
- Possible event formats (e.g., showcases, roundtables, dialogues)
- Conduct high‑level benchmarking of Lilly Innovation Day / similar innovation platforms in China using public information
- Creation of a tracker of India‑based pharma innovation platforms- learnings, formats, scale
- Detailed reporting on startup ecosystem engagement models
- Listing a 20–30 potential participants in each category.
- One‑page global benchmarking note (China)
