Job Description Summary

Position Responsibilities: Enhance client property value and customer satisfaction by effectively managing engineering service team performance as well as all levels of financial, operational, asset management and employee development. The Engineering Manager has an in-depth understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, building infrastructure operations, construction and facilities maintenance practices, with an understanding of financial management, analysis and reporting.

Job Description

Supervision and Operations

    • Manage all operational aspects of the Engineering and maintenance services team to the assigned market and/or property level in a manner which protects, maintains and improves the value of client assets through efficient operation and sound maintenance processes.
    • Manage hazard control and team safety practices, ensure compliance with all client safety processes, local codes and regulations, and successfully complete engineering safety audits.
    • Consistently implement and manage all preventive and ongoing maintenance/repair programs, processes, and service delivery for assigned team.
    • Manage service vehicle fleet operations (where applicable) to deliver a cost-effective fleet operation, tracking, analyzing and reporting on all levels of fleet operations.
    • Support client teams in the development and implementation of capital project plans as applicable to the engineering teams’ scope of services.
    • Manage mobile engineering resources (as applicable) in effective support of client projects.
    • Maintain routine internal/external client interface as required to ensure satisfactory engineering and maintenance service delivery and support processes effectiveness.
    • Manage engineering team performance through ongoing review of work performance metrics, tracking, trending and other reporting via computerized workflow and maintenance system(s) and other applicable databases.
    • Implement and manage all procurement policies and processes for assigned team.
    • Effectively Manage dynamic changes to client portfolio, operations, and services.
    • Manage team to ensure full compliance with all employee policies and procedures.
    • Develop quality reporting, analysis, and trending deliverables associated with team performance to expectations in service delivery, financials, and other metrics as required by the client and team management.
    • Manage service vendors in the satisfactory performance of contracted service and repair
    • Manage team to comply with all physical and electronic security processes and procedures

 

 

Employee Development                                                       

    • Manage engineering training programs to ensure ongoing training participation, effective ongoing analysis of skill levels, and overall improvement of team technical and service delivery qualifications.
    • Consistently evaluate client needs to identify and develop team skill-set focused at delivering increased value.
    • Manage assigned team safety training to meet all Cushman & Wakefield and client training requirements, compliance with prevailing industry training requirements, focused at ensuring the highest level of safety culture and practices in the working environment.

 

Financial Performance                                                          

    • Manage all operations and maintenance expenses to budgeted levels and goals
    • Assist Engineering and Facility Management in forecasting operational and capital expenses
    • Manage financial risk associated with labor resources utilization

 

Other

    • Management of other aspects of engineering maintenance and service operations as may be reasonably expected of the role.
    • Effective and timely ongoing communication within the overall team.

 

Primary Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree and/or commensurate level of engineering operations and maintenance supervisory and/or management experience
    • Proficient in performance supervision, data analysis, and reporting
    • Experienced in use of MS Excel and Word
    • Knowledgeable in computerized workflow management systems
    • Experienced in financial performance management, projection, and reporting
    • Demonstrated excellent leadership, interpersonal and customer service skills
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Minimum ten (10) years experience in commercial real estate engineering operations and maintenance services

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.


The compensation for the position is: $ 103,955.00 - $122,300.00
