About the role

Play a pivotal role at the intersection of markets, clients, and strategy. In this role, you’ll help shape and position Vanguard’s Fixed Income platform by partnering closely with investment, sales, and marketing teams to deliver data‑driven insights, compelling product narratives, and differentiated market perspective. You’ll act as a key resource on fixed income strategies, translating complex market dynamics into clear, impactful messaging while supporting clients, educating stakeholders, and advancing strategic initiatives across one of the industry’s most respected investment platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert on Vanguard’s Fixed Income investment strategies, with a strong understanding of market dynamics, product design, and the competitive landscape.

  • Communication & Relationship Management: Act as a key point of contact for sales teams and clients, proactively addressing questions related to portfolio positioning, performance, market outlook, and the broader Vanguard Fixed Income platform.

  • Marketing & Content Strategy: Support the development of high‑quality marketing materials, including pitchbooks, presentations, commentaries, and website content. Lead the creation of thematic content that showcases Vanguard’s investment expertise and differentiates the Fixed Income platform.

  • Commercial Partnership: Partner with senior sales leaders to represent Vanguard’s Fixed Income strategies to prospective and existing clients, clearly articulating investment philosophy, process, and performance. Participate in client meetings, conference calls, and due‑diligence discussions as needed.

  • Market Intelligence: Monitor and analyze fixed income markets, economic data, and competitor activity to identify opportunities and inform product positioning. Contribute to investment insights and timely market commentary.

  • Strategic Initiatives: Collaborate with portfolio managers, strategists, and fellow client portfolio managers on strategic initiatives, including product development, platform enhancements, and process improvements.

  • Education: Educate internal and external audiences on Vanguard’s Fixed Income strategies by delivering training and resources that deepen understanding of the firm’s investment solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three years of relevant work experience preferred

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills

  • Advanced PowerPoint skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, visually compelling materials

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools

  • Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and self‑motivated, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills

  • Demonstrated ability to learn new concepts quickly and adapt to changing market conditions

  • Progress towards CFA designation preferred
