Job OverviewThis role supports business sales by leading the technical strategy and solution design for Unified Communications (UCaaS) and Contact Center (CCaaS) opportunities across all customer segments. It involves consulting on sales opportunities, developing tailored solutions, and providing technical support during sales engagements for platforms such as Dialpad and T-Mobile Multiline. The role requires maintaining specialist knowledge of cloud-based value-added solutions and collaborating with cross-functional teams for product and market insights. Success is measured by technical win rates, deal acceleration, and the ability to contribute to customer satisfaction by positioning innovative, AI-powered communication solutions. The work impacts the organization by enabling informed sales strategies and enhancing customer experiences through technical consultation and solution design.
Job Responsibilities:
- Engage in customer meetings to understand business needs and identify solution opportunities, driving sales support activities
- Consult with sales teams and customers to develop and recommend Unified Communications (UCaaS) and Contact Center (CCaaS) solutions that meet business requirements.
- Maintain specialist knowledge and certifications in cloud communications, VoIP/SIP, and AI-powered technologies to ensure up-to-date technical expertise.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, product, and engineering to provide feedback and support special projects
- Also responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management as needed
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree and 7 years of related work experience
OR a combination of education and experience deemed equivalent (Required) - 7-10 years - Experience in telecommunications, IT administration or network engineering roles with a professional track record of successful solution sales, managing internal/external relationships in a matrix environment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Technical Leadership (Required)
- Communication Excellent oral and written communications; strong interpersonal skills. (Required)
- Applications Proficiency with business application software. (Required)
- Strategic Leadership Ability to provide strategic direction in a leadership role. (Required)
- Technical Presentations Ability to create and deliver technical presentations. (Required)
- Expertise in at least three relevant solution areas such as UCaaS, CCaaS, VoIP/SIP, mobile integration, or AI communication platforms
- Experience in technical sales of platforms such as Dialpad, Microsoft Teams Phone, Zoom Phone, WebEx, RingCentral, or similar
Licenses and Certifications:
- Microsoft Collaboration Communications Systems Engineer Associate MS-721 (Preferred)
- Certifications or training in VoIP and SIP technologies (e.g., Cisco CCNP Collaboration, or equivalent) (Preferred)
- Relevant cloud or telecommunications certification (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent) (Preferred)
- At least 18 years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
