Principal Engineer (DevSecOps and Embedded Software Developer)

  

Skillset

• BE / B-Tech / ME / M-Tech or equivalent degree with 11 + yrs of experience in DevSecOps
• Mandatory aerospace domain experience. (Certification exposure preferred.)
• Expertise in DO-178B/C and DO-330.
• Expertise in CI/CD pipeline design and implementation. (GitLab, Jenkins, etc.)
• Experience in Gitlab, Artifactory, Grafana and VS Code.
• Expertise in Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of Integration of tools such as Polarion/Jama and Jira with CI/CD pipeline.
• Knowledge of following will be an added advantage
• Security tools (SAST, DAST, SCA)
• Cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
• Good understanding of Secure SDLC
• Expert in Software Design planning, execution and testing (Top-Down architecture design methods).
• Expert skill level in C programming language.
• Experience in programming microcontrollers (primarily ARM, PIC and dsPIC) using C language.
• Experience in programming and implementing embedded systems serial protocols (UART/USB/SPI/i2C).
• Competence and Experience in implementing programming to support CAN protocol.
• Ability to lead team in implementing SW design and guiding them through troubleshooting.
• Ability to work with internal and external engineering and cross functional teams

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the adoption of DevOps practices across teams.
• Drive DevOps roadmap and implementation.
• Architect and implement secure CI/CD efficiency and automation maturity.
• Ensure strong compliance and audit readiness for aerospace standards.
• Enhance the team productivity and delivery quality.
• Expand knowledge: Product domain, Requirements, Design, Development, Test and Release software processes, tools, methods and coding best practices with primary emphasis on taking technical ownership in a software component of the product domain.
• Develop and document component and moderate changes to software requirements documentation, applying knowledge of processes, tools and methods in the management and tracking of software requirements baseline.
• Design, code, test, integrate and document software of limited to moderate complexity within software services, software components, software test tools and software test scripts. Prepare software builds for execution in a simulation. environment, reference platforms and on the target hardware. Understands and utilizes the appropriate RC processes and tools during product development, resulting in increased product quality and improving customer satisfaction.
• Participate in cross-functional team efforts in integration, verification and validation for products and sub-systems of limited to moderate complexity.
• Contribute to the engineering estimates for limited scope such as change requests or problem reports.
• Create unit testing ability (along with continued regression testing ability) such that software components may be developed and comprehensively testing in a simulation environment – if such an environment does not exist, look for ways to create one.
• Understand the interfaces and behaviors of external software and hardware components that interact with the currently developed component.
• Learn and be able to use test equipment (e.g. Logic Analyzer) and software debugging tools (e.g. Wireshark) to aid in the integration process. Learn techniques and skills required to identify a root cause of a given software integration issue.
