About the role

SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.

STRATEGIC CONNECTIVITY LEAD, MARKET ACCESS (STARLINK)

Starlink will provide high-speed broadband to the world. This team is here to maximize the positive impact Starlink can have in the world. From connecting schools, hospitals, or community centers (what we call “Anchor Institutions”), to identifying and reducing internal and external barriers to connect the unconnected, we are here as a resource to do good on a global scale. Team members are expected to gather and analyze data, provide recommendations, achieve buy-in, and lead implementation through cross-functional teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understand and drive core metrics of strategic connectivity to ensure we are meeting team and company objectives.
  • Create and maintain reporting dashboards and visualizations (e.g., using JIRA, Power BI, etc.) to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Effectively navigate internal tooling (support agent, meta base, type form, etc.) to support project execution and process improvement.
  • Deliver presentations and reports to stakeholders, translating technical findings into clear, business-oriented recommendations that influence decision-making.
  • Support ad-hoc research projects, such as regional market assessments or emerging trends in broadband adoption, blending qualitative insights with quantitative rigor.
  • Identify initiatives for improvement of Starlink's business outlook, including developing, tracking, and executing business initiatives with Starlink's leadership.
  • Collaborate and partner with cross functional teams to build a strong network across these departments and with external resources to ensure compliance.
  • Support team members in executing projects globally as needed including the preparation of applications/information submittals and coordination of necessary internal inputs and reviews.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM, business, economics, or finance.
  • 1+ year of experience in business operations, project management, or strategic planning.
  • 1+ year of experience with analytical skills (e.g. Microsoft Office applications, Excel modeling, etc.).

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 1+ year experience based abroad or working with operations outside of the United States.
  • Experience using various programming languages (e.g. SQL, Python, JavaScript, R, HTML, XML, CSS, Ruby).
  • Proficiency in a second language, preferably Spanish, French, or Arabic.
  • Demonstrated success working in an environment with competing priorities and aggressive schedules.
  • Demonstrated business judgement analyzing and weighing risks, making sound recommendations to leaders and teammates with incomplete information.
  • Experience leading complex operational and strategic initiatives.
  • Proven ability to independently manage complex projects and develop effective strategies in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Willingness to travel to customer sites, other SpaceX locations, and events as needed.
  • Must be available to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed.

ITAR REQUIREMENTS:

  • To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
