Commodity Buyer – Travel Services
Location: Bucharest (Global Scope)

Reports to Procurement Commodity Manager (Indirect Professional Services - Non -IT)

Department: Global Indirect Procurement
Salary: 200,000 – 240,000 RON Annual

Role Overview

We are seeking for a strategic and results-driven Procurement Buyer to fulfill Travel services management.


In this regional role, you will support Internal Customer by handling Travel Services through Source2Contract processes, ensuring full alignment with FLS’s business objectives and driving value creation, innovation and sustainability throughout the supply base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sourcing/ Contract Negotiation
  • Participate in vendor sourcing, selection and awarding processes
  • Manage Travel services, acting as Single SPOC in front of FLS Employees and Travel Agency   
  • Align purchases with business specifications and budget
  • Assess vendor quotes for Hotel program & AIR Companies and negotiate pricing and relevant contractual terms (renewal process, negotiation process for new Supplier or replacement for quality improvement)
  • Maintain a good track of MSA Term validity and initiate renewals in due time to avoid business interruptions
  • Proactive role in coordinating with internal stakeholders to obtain updated requirements for each renewal cycle and/or New RFP process
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities

  • Procurement Operations
  • Acting as liaison between FLS Employees and Travel Agency
  • Active role in managing escalations for booking/trips purposes  
  • Handling various activities requested by FLS Employees, Travel Agency targeting smooth access in Travel portal
  • Reviewing Travel Policy and general principles for Hotel, Air flight bookings, by advancing proposed solutions for smoother bookings and/or cost optimization
  • Running reports on weekly/monthly/ad-hoc requests, targeting improved solutions and/or cost optimization
  • Coordinate with Finance, suppliers and internal customers to sort invoice-related mismatches, payment delays etc.
  • Manage direct connection of Travel services (booking) costs with corporate cards expenses in SAP Concur

  • Contract and documentation Management
  • Ensure procurement activities follow company policies and maintain segregation of duties and approval workflows.
  • Ensure proper record keeping for audit purposes.
  • Track and report on procurement performance, savings, and compliance metrics.
  • Assist in procurement process improvements.

Internal: Internal Customers/Stakeholders, Business Unit Lines, Regional Procurement Teams

External: Travel Agency, Hotel & Air Companies

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Management or a related field.

• 3-5 years of procurement experience, with a strong focus on Travel Services.

• Proven expertise in end-to-end process, including strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, operations (PR/POs) and stakeholder engagement.

• Strong analytical, communication and project management skills.

• Experience in a global matrix organization preferred.
