ABOUT THE ROLE

This role sits within a newly built global in‑house studio in Amsterdam, created for a leading international domestic appliances brand spanning categories such as air fryers, coffee machines, vacuum cleaners, and home tech.

The studio operates with the pace and ambition of an agency, combined with the strategic depth and scale of an in‑house team - delivering social‑first, digital‑led creative across global and local markets.

As an Art Director, you’ll be responsible for shaping and delivering visually compelling, culturally relevant creative that brings everyday products to life on social and beyond. You’ll work closely with copywriters, designers, content creators, strategists, and account teams to produce work that is on‑brand, platform‑native, and commercially effective.

You’ll manage projects end‑to‑end, present work to clients, and help evolve the brand’s visual language across channels, with the support of senior creative leadership.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Produce original creative concepts for social‑first content, digital campaigns, and integrated activations
  • Approach briefs strategically, ensuring all art direction delivers clearly against objectives and brand goals
  • Develop and evolve visual systems and art direction across products, sub‑brands, and markets
  • Create work that balances brand consistency with platform‑native expression
  • Work closely with designers, motion designers, and content creators, reviewing and guiding execution to ensure quality and craft
  • Collaborate with strategy, social, and production teams to bring ideas to life efficiently
  • Brainstorm visual and conceptual ideas with copywriters and the wider creative team
  • Ensure creative output is innovative, culturally relevant, and attuned to social trends and platform behaviour
  • Pitch and present creative concepts, campaigns, and visual approaches internally and to clients
  • Deliver proactive creative ideas and visual thinking on an ongoing basis
  • Interrogate briefs, ask the right questions, and work with account and production teams to clarify requirements
  • Maintain a strong eye for detail, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and quality across all outputs
  • Stay up to date with design, advertising, social, and emerging tech trends
  • Build strong relationships with client stakeholders and become a trusted creative partner at market
