We have four exciting permanent opportunities for Maintenance Lead’s to join our Maintenance team, based in Tomoana, New Zealand.

Key position responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Monitor and drive maintenance KPIs, including our management system, reliability, breakdowns, PM completion, and work order/request completion.

  • Lead/support deployment, adherence, and continuous improvement of the KHMS Management System for the Maintenance & Engineering pillar on the plant floor.

  • Supervise shift maintenance execution to meet timing, quality, cost, and safety standards; provide site coverage/support as required.

  • Champion Kraft Heinz Golden Safety Rules and ensure all maintenance work follows site procedures and guidelines.

  • Coach, support, and educate fitters/technicians; qualify AM/PM capability and performance on the line.

  • Plan and prioritise maintenance activities with the weekly schedule in partnership with the Maintenance Planner.

  • Own machinery reliability by leading troubleshooting, inspections, and preventative maintenance improvement.

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports in CMMS (e.g., SAP/Mainpac) and train users as needed.

  • Manage people administration: rostering, leave planning, timesheets, and accurate payroll for direct reports.

  • Recruit, supervise, and develop maintenance/electrical technicians and contractors; support maintenance budgeting and spend control.

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field (or equivalent relevant experience) preferred

  • Strong people leadership experience in a manufacturing environment (required)

  • Strong and proven hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (required)

  • Strong technical capability across packaging/mechanical operations, electrical maintenance, instrumentation, controls/electronics, and utility systems

  • Proven ability to motivate, coach, train, direct, and performance-manage a diverse team

  • Demonstrated capability to plan effectively and lead teams through change in a large enterprise environment

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and maintenance/computer systems

  • Able to manage and support a continuous 24/7 operation (including shift-based environments)

  • Eligibility to work in New Zealand – with full working rights
