Are you a qualified Psychologist with experience in mental health and learning disabilities? Pulse is recruiting for a Locum Psychologist to work across three specialist residential services supporting adults with learning disabilities, behaviours that challenge, and associated complex needs. This is a part-time opportunity (2 days per week) to join a well-established multi-disciplinary team (MDT) and contribute to person-centred care in a social care setting.
Responsibilities
As a Locum Psychologist, you will:
- Provide psychological input across three (local) residential services
- Deliver specialist psychological assessments, formulations, and interventions.
- Work collaboratively with the MDT to support care planning and risk management.
- Contribute to service users’ wellbeing through evidence-based approaches.
- Support staff teams with psychologically informed strategies and consultation.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to service development.

Qualifications and Experience
We welcome applications from candidates who meet the following criteria:
- HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist
- Experience working with adults with learning disabilities and complex needs
- Strong understanding of mental health and behavioural support
- Ability to work across multiple sites and collaborate with MDTs
- Excellent communication and formulation skills
