Head of Digital & Commerce Operations (Global)

We are seeking a Head of Digital & Commerce Operations to ensure our global digital platforms are reliable, secure, and performing at their best—enabling seamless experiences for customers, patients, and partners worldwide.

 

This role will lead global operations and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), driving stability, performance, and continuous improvement across our digital and commerce ecosystem.

 

What You’ll Do

• Lead global operations for key digital platforms, including AEM, Adobe Commerce / Magento, and commercetools

• Ensure high availability, performance, and operational excellence across all environments

• Own incident management, platform reliability, and continuous improvement practices

• Lead a follow‑the‑sun operating model across India, Malaysia, Ireland, and the US

• Partner closely with Engineering, Product, Security, and external partners

• Oversee vendor performance and service delivery against agreed SLAs

• Drive cost efficiency, scalability, and long‑term platform sustainability

What You’ll Bring

• 10+ years of experience in digital, e‑commerce operations, or SRE

• Proven leadership of global, multi‑timezone teams

• Strong experience with cloud platforms, observability, and modern operating models

• A mindset focused on reliability, continuous improvement, and business impact

• Ability to translate technical operations into outcomes that support Abbott’s mission
