Established in 2000, the John F. Welch Technology Center (JFWTC) in Bengaluru is our multidisciplinary research and engineering center. Engineers and scientists at JFWTC have contributed to hundreds of aviation patents, pioneering breakthroughs in engine technologies, advanced materials, and additive manufacturing.
Role Overview:
- The Intern will support engineering and analytical projects related to workflow automation and thermal systems analysis for NGT.
- This role will involve applying mathematical methods, engineering fundamentals, and digital tools to improve processes used to create surfaces or models suitable for thermal system analysis.
- The intern will work on scoped projects that support technical problem-solving, process efficiency, and team objectives while gaining hands-on experience in an engineering environment.
- Support projects involving workflow automation for NGT engineering processes, with a focus on improving efficiency, repeatability, and data quality.
- Apply mathematical and analytical methods to help develop or refine surface/model generation approaches for use in thermal systems analysis.
- Assist in evaluating, organizing, and processing technical data to support modeling, analysis, and engineering decisions.
- Use tools such as Excel, engineering software, scripting tools, or other analysis platforms to support data analysis and process improvement activities.
- Work with engineers and cross-functional teams to understand technical requirements and translate them into practical workflow solutions.
Ideal Candidate:
Should be pursuing B.Tech
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field.
- Completed coursework or demonstrated interest in mathematics, numerical methods, heat transfer, thermodynamics, CAD/modeling, or engineering analysis.
