Job Summary

Responsibilities include updating contract data and volumetric hedge position of electric booked business, improving current knowledge and understanding of market trends, electric supply, and fundamentals across various RTO's, and maintaining and auditing the completeness of the retail supply company's portfolio of signed contracts.

Job Description

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Perform daily maintenance of risk positions and market deal valuations
  • Research market changes and regulatory filings
  • Perform ad hoc analysis to determine customer usage behavior and impacts to pricing and performance of booked business
  • Coordinate with Pricing and Usage Data Management teams to implement and maintain usage profiles in the Risk database
  • Recommend and test enhancements to Risk systems and processes
  • Execute required SOX and business controls for volumetric tracking across Risk, Pricing, and Billing systems
  • Audit contract data to ensure optimal data integrity and financial forecasting accuracy
  • Devise and generate custom reports out of risk database
  • Coordinate the filing of Renewable Portfolio Standard and Green-E requirements
  • Ensure compliance with EIA and other governmental reporting requirements

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Education:  Bachelor’s Degree required in business discipline such as Finance, Accounting, Economics, Math etc. Other degrees will be considered based on experience.

Experience:  one (1) year of energy experience in an analytical is a plus, but not required.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, complex spreadsheet design); Effective problem-solving skills: ability to work from concept to analytics, identify alternatives and develop unique solutions; General intelligence with inquisitive and investigative attitude; Interest in energy industry, specifically deregulated electricity and natural gas; SQL and VBA skills a plus with an interest to further develop skills

Base Salary:  $64K - $79K
