Job Description
Purpose
The DLS Military Case Manager serves as the single point of contact for Amazon employees experiencing leave of absence or disability events across the U.S. and the rest of the world, providing comprehensive case management services.
The DLS Military Case Manager excels at answering questions, understanding employee situations, applying appropriate benefits, and adapting to changing circumstances. They deliver a connected and trusted case management experience.
Key job responsibilities
Essential Responsibilities
The responsibilities fall into several key areas:
Case Management & Communication
Initiate and respond to Military leave/disability inquiries
Provide holistic case management services
Deliver updates to employees and stakeholders
Calculate payments using system formulas
Assessment & Compliance
Review Military documentation and adjudicate leaves
Ensure compliance with federal/state laws and Amazon policies
Maintain accurate system records
Adapt case management plans to changing needs
Problem-Solving & Support
Handle sensitive situations
Troubleshoot and remove barriers
Solve problems with limited information
Return-to-Work
Facilitate smooth return-to-work transitions
Educate managers and business partners
Collaboration
Partner with third-party administrators, HR, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, and other departments
Language-Specific
Communicate effectively in English
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- 2+ years of customer service experience, or HR, or a related field
- Knowledge of HRIS or Applicant Tracking Systems are preferred
- Experience with Payroll Systems, HRIS
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent- Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- 2+ years of customer service experience, or HR, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of human resources functions experience- Knowledge of HRIS or Applicant Tracking Systems are preferred
- Experience with Payroll Systems, HRIS
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
