Requirement:
1. Bachelor of Science in Industrial engineering or any related fields. MBA or MS is an advantage
2. With at least 2 yrs hands on experience in materials planning and buying. MS or MBA is an advantage. New college graduate is welcome to apply.
3. Proven strong collaborative and motivational skills
4. Must be able to work across functional boundaries to gather information needed to understand problems, ability to leverage teams and motivate a team environment
5. Understanding of various manufacturing execution system and planning systems is preferred
6. Thorough knowledge of semiconductor assembly manufacturing and planning and past experience in managing materials planning and buying is an advantage
Job Function:
1. Prepare and review weekly over-all material inventory status
2. Closely work with operations planners, module vendors, engineers and materials vendors (as needed), to ensure that inventory levels are in compliance with material ordering rules. Ensures continuous supply of materials based on forecast and address issues pertaining to materials and proactively escalate issues to avoid loading gaps.
3. Work with Assembly vendors to review MOQ (min. order qty) approval proposal based on historical loads, lot size and forecast and negotiate reduced order quantity to minimize material exposure.
4. Review historical loads and provide PO for ageing unused and ageing materials based on agreed MRA (material review agreement).
5. Raise PR for all consigned materials orders, pre-buy PO and non-stock items such as FLT, warehouse cost, etc.
6. Send reports to finance for proper accounting of inventories such as adder and material cost, and consigned materials list.
7. Check cost adders billing for assembly for paid/consigned materials.
8. Can be assigned tasks or special projects as required.
