Job Description
As a Principal NetSuite Consultant at our client's team, you will serve as a senior functional leader responsible for advising clients and delivering complex NetSuite ERP solutions across a portfolio of organizations. This role requires deep expertise in SaaS, Professional Services (ProServe), and financial operations, as well as the ability to translate business requirements into scalable system designs and operational processes.
You will act as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders, guiding organizations through ERP implementations, platform optimizations, and digital transformation initiatives. The Principal Consultant plays a key role in solution design, implementation leadership, and financial system architecture, while mentoring delivery teams to ensure successful client outcomes.
Plative operates in a fast-paced and collaborative consulting environment. In this role, you will work across multiple client engagements, partnering closely with project managers, developers, and client leadership teams to deliver high-quality NetSuite solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Advisory & Solution Design
- Serve as the Principal NetSuite advisor for SaaS, ProServe, and Finance models, translating complex requirements into scalable system designs.
- Advise C-suite stakeholders on ERP strategy, financial process optimization, and system scalability.
- Define and implement industry-standard workflows for subscription billing, revenue recognition (ARM), and services delivery.
Implementation & Delivery Excellence
- Oversee functional design and configuration of core modules, including SuiteBilling, Revenue Management, and SuiteProjects (PSA).
- Configure NetSuite modules including Financials, SuiteBilling, Revenue Management, and SuiteProjects (PSA).
- Lead clients through the full implementation lifecycle, from initial discovery and workshops to UAT, training, and go-live.
- Architect data migration strategies and design integrations with external platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, Avalara).
Sales & Growth Support
- Partner with Sales to lead technical discoveries, develop SOWs, and create implementation estimates.
- Support client presentations, solution architecture discussions, and proposal development.
- Maintain long-term client relationships to identify platform optimization and automation opportunities post-launch.
Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience implementing and configuring NetSuite ERP.
- Deep experience supporting SaaS companies, Professional Services organizations, and finance teams.
- Strong expertise in: SuiteBilling, Suite Projects, ASC 606 Revenue Recognition, Multi-Book Accounting, and Advanced Revenue Management
- Experience with Salesforce-to-NetSuite integrations and other enterprise platforms.
- Proven ability to lead client discovery sessions, functional design workshops, and ERP solution delivery.
- A forward-thinking mindset regarding AI in the NetSuite ecosystem (NetSuite Next).
Preferred Qualifications
- NetSuite certifications (ERP Consultant, Financial User, SuiteFoundation, etc.)
- Accounting or finance designations (CPA or equivalent)
- Experience with: SuiteProjects (NetSuite PSA), SuiteAnalytics, Advanced financial reporting, and NetSuite workflow automation and customizations
- Experience supporting SaaS subscription models and professional services automation workflows
- Experience supporting multi-subsidiary or global NetSuite environments
- Experience participating in pre-sales solution scoping and SOW development
- Consulting experience within a NetSuite partner or professional services firm
