Position Overview
 

Autodesk is looking for a Senior Workday Developer to join our People Engineering team. You’ll play a key role in enhancing and supporting Workday across Integrations, Workday Extend, Core HCM, Benefits, Payroll, Security, and Reporting. Working closely with People, Payroll, Finance, IT, and external partners, you’ll deliver scalable, secure, and high-impact solutions that improve employee experience and support Autodesk’s global People strategy. Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, and maintain Workday integrations using EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Studio, and REST/SOAP APIs

  • Develop and enhance Workday Extend applications, including custom pages, model objects, and embedded business logic

  • Configure and support Core HCM, including business processes, job profiles, position management, worker data, and lifecycle events

  • Manage Benefits configuration including eligibility, open enrollment, life events, carrier feeds, and vendor integrations

  • Support payroll integrations, payment elections, banking configurations, and global payroll processing

  • Configure organizational structures such as legal entities, companies, cost centers, pay groups, and supervisory organizations

  • Maintain and audit Workday security roles, domain policies, and business process security

  • Build advanced reports, dashboards, matrix reports, and complex calculated fields

  • Support biannual Workday releases, including impact analysis, testing, and enhancements

  • Troubleshoot complex system and integration issues while ensuring data integrity and compliance

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6+ years of hands-on Workday experience across multiple modules

  • Strong expertise in Workday Integrations (EIB, Studio, Core Connectors, APIs)

  • Experience with Workday Extend (custom pages, model objects, app design)

  • Solid understanding of integration architecture, APIs, and data transformation

  • Deep knowledge of Core HCM, Benefits, Payroll, Security, and Reporting

  • Advanced reporting and calculated field development skills

  • Strong understanding of global People and payroll processes

  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder management skills
     

Preferred Qualifications

  • Workday certifications (HCM, Integrations, Extend, Security, Benefits)

  • Experience with programming or scripting (Java, Python, JavaScript) is a strong plus

  • Experience in a global enterprise environment

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams

  • Experience managing Workday releases and structured change control processes
