Engineering ManagerYour role and responsibilities:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to be a design authority for an engineering discipline. Each day, you will complete assignments on multiple projects of moderate size or portions of major projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring assignments are completed in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards.

This role is contributing to the Process Automation business for Energy Industries division based in Bangalore, India.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Collaborating on project installation, commissioning, and site activities, to clarify potential issues or provide solutions to rectify the engineering errors.
Coaching the project engineers and designers on the translation of conceptual designs to engineering documentation, including modelling, prototyping, and calculations.
Leading, supervising, and coordinating teams (less than 10 members) in all engineering disciplines (both in-house and outsourced) on projects.
Applying design thinking or design for excellence concepts in projects, including modelling, prototyping, simulation, and calculations.
As a technical lead for all engineering disciplines - evaluates, selects and applies standard techniques, procedures and criteria to perform tasks for conventional projects.
Execute assignments using established solutions. May act as a design authority and completes engineering assignments.
Collaborates on project installation, commissioning and site activities, clarifying potential issues or providing solutions to correct engineering errors. Provides technical support to commissioning and start-up activities. Assists in creating proposals for projects.
Supports Contract Manager in issuing claims. Creates work plans and cost estimates in one’s area of responsibility.
Qualifications for the role:
Minimum 10 years of design, engineering, testing, commissioning and consulting experience of Control and Safety Systems in oil & gas production / refining / petrochemical / pharmaceutical industry. Experience in managing cross-functional teams.
TUV Functional Safety Engineer Certification (or equivalent).
Working knowledge of the Safety Lifecycle and participation in functional safety assessments. Working knowledge of IEC61508 and IEC61511
Proficiency in Safety System design, application programming, hardware design, and HMI graphics development.
Experience in safety system hardware inspection, FAT, SAT, loop checks, start-up and commissioning.
