Role Overview

Capco is seeking a Senior Advanced Analytics / Data Science Lead to drive sophisticated analytics initiatives within large‑scale, data‑rich financial services environments.

This role is ideal for an experienced analytics professional who enjoys working at the intersection of data science, business strategy, and decision‑making. You will lead complex analytics workstreams, translate high‑volume data into actionable insights, and deliver scalable, insight‑driven solutions that drive measurable business outcomes across customer and business portfolios.


Key Responsibilities

Advanced Analytics & Modelling

  • Lead end‑to‑end advanced analytics initiatives, delivering optimization, growth, and risk insights across customer and business portfolios
  • Analyse large‑scale transactional and behavioural datasets to uncover opportunities for commercial performance and efficiency
  • Design, develop, validate, and deploy statistical and machine learning models to support strategic decision‑making
  • Conduct segmentation, lifecycle analysis, propensity modelling, and performance optimisation

Experimentation & Measurement

  • Design and evaluate robust experimentation and testing frameworks, including A/B testing and control groups
  • Establish methodologies for impact measurement and performance tracking

Data Engineering & Scalability

  • Prepare, transform, and structure large volumes of data for advanced modelling and analytics
  • Enhance and optimise analytical code and processes to ensure scalability, robustness, and efficiency

Insight Communication & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Translate complex analytical outcomes into clear, compelling, and actionable insights for senior stakeholders
  • Develop dashboards and reporting solutions to monitor performance and communicate trends
  • Support senior leadership through structured storytelling, insight summaries, and performance reporting

Collaboration & Thought Leadership

  • Partner with cross‑functional teams to embed analytics into business initiatives
  • Document methodologies and contribute to reusable analytical assets and best practices across Capco

Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • Degree (or higher) in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field
  • 5–8+ years’ experience in advanced analytics, data science, or quantitative strategy roles
  • Strong foundation in statistical modelling, machine learning, and quantitative analysis
  • Hands‑on proficiency in SQL, Python, or equivalent analytics tools
  • Solid understanding of experimental design and causal inference
  • Proven ability to translate analytics into commercial and strategic recommendations
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills

Preferred

  • Experience in consulting, financial services, or large data‑driven organizations
  • Exposure to analytics use cases within banking, payments, risk, or customer analytics environments
