Job Description:

We are searching for the best talent for a Labs Analytical Instrument Qualification (AIQ) Technology Lead.

Purpose

We are looking for a Technology Lead to join our Quality Control Laboratories team in Barnahely, Ringaskiddy. In this role, you will help us deliver reliable, compliant laboratory systems that support both our business and regulatory commitments.

You will work closely with colleagues in Quality Control, IT, Engineering, Finance, and with external partners to ensure our laboratory instruments and systems are well designed, secure, and ready for the future. Together, we focus on building solutions that are practical, compliant, and add real value.

You will be responsible for

In this role, you will lead the technology aspects of laboratory projects from early concept through implementation, helping us make informed technical and investment decisions.

You will design and support GxP-regulated laboratory systems, making sure they meet data integrity, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements. You will work with external vendors to select and implement the right laboratory software solutions, ensuring strong technical fit and good value.

You will also help us set clear standards and priorities for laboratory technology, contributing to long-term planning, lifecycle management, and future investment decisions. Alongside this, you will manage budgets and support financial planning, working closely with Finance and Procurement teams.

Working across IT, Quality, Engineering, and Validation, you will help ensure solutions are aligned, practical, and compliant. You will partner with infrastructure and network teams to integrate instruments into the wider IT environment and support cybersecurity requirements.

During qualification activities, you will contribute technical expertise to IOPQ execution, system setup, and issue resolution. You will review system designs, risk assessments, and readiness for regulated use.

You will also represent our laboratory systems during audits and inspections, clearly explaining technical decisions and controls. In addition, you will support and guide colleagues, helping to build capability and consistency across the team.

Qualifications / Requirements

We are looking for someone who brings experience working with laboratory systems or analytical instrumentation in a regulated (GxP) environment.

You have a solid understanding of Windows operating systems (both workstation and server), as well as client-server architectures commonly used in laboratories. You are familiar with networking fundamentals such as firewalls and system connectivity, and you have a good understanding of cybersecurity principles.

You bring knowledge of data integrity requirements and 21 CFR Part 11, and you are comfortable working within compliance frameworks.

You are able to troubleshoot effectively, communicate clearly, and explain technical topics in a simple and practical way to different audiences. You are comfortable working cross-functionally and building strong working relationships.

Experience managing vendors or delivering technology projects is valuable, and experience with systems such as TOC, Endotoxin, UV, or SoloVPE is an advantage.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:

€63 300,00 - €101 315,00

In addition to base pay, we offer the following benefits*: an annual bonus with set target (% of pay) depending on pay grade / location, where the actual amount is based on the employees’ and companies’ performance of the previous calendar year, or sales commissions.
