About the role

We’re looking for a hands-on Frontline Repertoire Manager to help shape how international artists and music land and grow in Korea, one of the fastest-moving music markets in the world.

In this role, you’ll lead the end-to-end rollout of Sony Music's global releases, turning international priorities into locally relevant campaigns across digital, physical, and retail. You’ll work closely with global label teams, external partners and internal teams to create campaigns that cut through and genuinely connect with Korean audiences.

Success in this role means consistently creating campaigns that break through, building cultural moments for artists and music while driving real commercial impact in market.

What you will do:

  • Plan & launch frontline campaigns: Build Koreaready gotomarket plans for priority global releases (timeline, messaging, local content, budgets), aligning with US/UK repertoire teams and local partners. Drive daytoday execution to ontime, onquality delivery.
  • Lead DSP strategy & pitching: Localize campaign narratives for Melon, Genie, Spotify, YouTube and more with the DSP Manager; manage pitching calendars, placements, moments, other activations to maximize streams and visibility.
  • Own physical business execution: Coordinate D2C shop launch and operation, demand planning, production timelines, pricing/PPD inputs, preorder mechanics, and retail alignment to capture physical sales opportunities for frontline releases.
  • A&Radjacent coordination: Serve as the Korea market point for artist teams and global labels (e.g., Columbia, RCA, Epic) on creative approvals, assets, and local adaptation needs, maintaining brand integrity while optimizing local impact.
  • Performance tracking & optimization: Monitor KPIs (streams, conversions, chart signals, sellin/sellthrough, campaign ROI), run weekly reviews, and implement fast optimizations across digital and physical channels.
  • Crossfunctional leadership: Orchestrate internal squads (digital, PR/creator, media, commercial) and external agencies; provide clear briefs, QA outputs, and upskill junior team members through coaching and templates.
  • Compliance & process rigor: Ensure rights/usage, brand safety, and documentation standards; drive postmortems and playbooks to improve velocity and quality for subsequent releases.

Who you are:

Technical Capabilities:

  • Experienced operator: 7+ years in music/entertainment marketing or label operations, with proven endtoend ownership of frontline releases in Korea (both digital and physical).
  • Platformfluent & datadriven: Deep understanding of DSP ecosystems (editorial, algorithms, programming cycles) and social/video platforms; comfortable using data to inform pitching, creative, and budget decisions.
  • Commercial & operational acumen: Familiar with physical sales levers (demand planning, pricing/PPD, windowing, preorder mechanics), and how to translate release plans into measurable revenue outcomes.
  • Stakeholder manager: Strong communicator who can align artist teams, global labels, DSPs, distributors/retailers, and internal functions; able to coach junior staff and raise overall bar for execution quality.
  • Languages: Excellent written and spoken Korean & English.
  • Excellent spoken and written in Korean & English
  • Digital Platform Fluency: How frontline content is surfaced, pitched, and programmed across DSPs (Melon, Genie, Spotify, YouTube, etc.) and social/video channels; strong understanding of local consumer behavior.
  • Campaign Execution Mastery: Builds clear GTM plans, asset roadmaps, and media/creator activations; manages overlapping timelines without loss of quality.
  • Analytical Mindset: Reads performance signals to optimize quickly; comfortable with dashboards, forecasts, and ROI rationale.
  • Collaboration & Agility: Communicates crisply, takes feedback, moves fast, and stays solutions oriented under pressure; culturally aware and audience savvy.
  • Governance & Compliance: Works ethically and equitably with business partners; maintains rights/usage and documentation discipline.

Behavioral Capabilities:

  • Communication: Able to articulate an idea or point of view verbally or in writing succinctly, with clarity and confidence, adapting the message to different audiences

  • Problem Solving: Has a "can-do" attitude and sees obstacles as opportunities to find alternative ways to do things and grow, demonstrating resourcefulness and flexibility. Able to think of new ways to tackle challenges. Go above and beyond to move forward and address any obstacles to organization’s collective progress.
