We are currently seeking a Field Operator I to join our team. In this role, you will build foundational field operations expertise by working alongside experienced operators, gaining Operator Qualification (OQ), and developing the skills needed to safely perform pipeline maintenance independently. What You Will Do:

  • Support safe, reliable pipeline operations by performing routine maintenance and high-value field work across pipelines, terminals, and station facilities.

  • Respond to one-call tickets, complete line locating, and monitor third-party excavation to protect pipeline integrity.

  • Inspect, operate, and maintain pipeline equipment including valves, piping systems, and pigging tools while assisting with troubleshooting and repairs.

  • Complete pipeline maintenance and repairs (including emergency work) in compliance with company procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Assist with measurement activities including ticketing, basic analysis, and supporting calibration and inspection schedules.

  • Perform hazard assessments, issue work permits, and support safe work execution while maintaining a strong focus on environmental protection and spill prevention.

  • Support emergency response efforts, including containment, repair, cleanup, and preventative actions to protect people, communities, and the environment.

Who You Are:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.

  • Minimal direct training or experience.

  • Basic understanding and use of computers.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license, a good driving record.

  • Should live within 25 miles of the reporting location, unless agreed upon by management.

Preferred:

  • Experience in operations or maintenance for a crude oil pipeline, tank farm or delivery facility.

Working Conditions:

  • Work in both field and office settings with frequent travel and occasional overnight stays.

  • Frequent travel along the pipeline right of way and to construction sites.

  • Overtime and flexibility when required to manage multiple projects, emergency response operations, adverse weather conditions, work priorities, fieldwork schedules, and out of town travel.

  • Shifting priorities to meet changing directions.

  • Position may require quick decision making under intense conditions. Position also requires a working knowledge of field and office diplomacy and maintaining relationships with external collaborators.

  • Works independently with little day to day direction.

  • Time commitments may extend beyond normal working hours.
