About the role
The purpose of the Sales Director position is to drive profitable revenue growth and market expansion through translating business strategy into actionable sales and marketing plans, leading the day-to-day sales activities and ensuring customer success in the area. The role develops the best automation sales team in the P&P industry and fosters results-driven culture to ensure we are positioned to compete and win in the P&P market. The role is also responsible for building and maintaining high-level customer relationships to align our solutions with our customers targets and contribute final negotiations of major sales cases.
Responsible for developing and managing sales activities (capital, project, or services) within a specified geography, product line, or market segment to achieve established sales targets.
1. Develop sales plans, activities, and campaigns and manage the operational activities of a sales and/or service sales team for an assigned geography, product line, market segment, or particular customers.
2. Negotiate sales with existing and new customers who are of strategic importance to the organization.
3. Prepare sales forecasts and budgets; monitor sales volume, revenues, and costs against forecasts to identify problem areas; and adapt procedures to improve the overall performance.
4. Contribute to the development of sales, customer retention, pricing, and distribution strategies for area of responsibility through provision of market intelligence and customer information, and by understanding market trends.
5. May coach sales and/or service sales representatives on the operational aspects of the organization's products and services and internal procedures; on sales promotions; and on sales techniques, procedures and standards that will help them achieve their sales targets.
