Description:
Regional Director Service Line Administration, Neurosciences and Cardiovascular
Position Purpose:
Responsible for strategic alliances & service line excellence through the development & implementation of regional & local regional health ministry (RHM) strategic & tactical plans for designated line(s) of business.
Leadership
• Provides advice, guidance & leadership to RHM & Region leaders in developing strategies & in the achievement of performance goals.
• Enables collaboration across & within service area, RHM & medical group to ensure consistency & integration of strategy & operations (i.e. physician dyad partners)
• Partners to develop & execute recruitment & growth strategies.
Direction & Growth
• Provides advice, guidance & leadership to service area, functional area, RHM & medical group.
• Leads standardization & optimization of policy, process, methodology, establishing a national community of practice
• Oversees Vendor/Contract Labor Management including centralizing strategy & optimizing spend
Strategic Support & Accountability
• Collaborates in system-wide strategy development & deployment of functional area priorities & initiatives
• Responsible for supporting regional efforts to comply with functional area priorities
• Accountable for the selection, evaluation & overall success of the functional leadership teams
• Organization-wide focal point for establishing functional strategies & governance over financials & provider staffing.
• Accountable for communication between service area functional area, RHM & Regions leaders.
• Serves as strategic liaison internally & with external partners & organizations.
Operational Delivery
• Responsible for measuring & reporting KPIs/metrics & value delivery
• Provides advice, guidance & leadership for the colleague life cycle
• Service Line Administrators will not focus on – operations, staffing, etc. Those functions remain with operations & local management.
Minimum Requirements:
- Master’s degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, M.S. or equivalent degree preferred
- Ten (10) + experience leading strategic & business planning preferably within an integrated healthcare system in a competitive environment. Previous specialty service line experience with demonstrated success in quality/safety metrics, patient satisfaction, cost, business development & service line strategy.
- Possess an understanding & working knowledge of current health care regulation, accreditation. (Joint Commission, CMS & other)
