Quality & Patient Safety Specialist – Transplantation | Cardiology – Full Time – Days – Midtown
In this vital role, you’ll drive quality and patient safety initiatives for transplant patients by offering expert consulting, analysis, improvement facilitation, and program management to key internal stakeholders. You’ll develop and enhance programs that uphold our high standards in Quality and Patient Safety while focusing on delivering superior care to our patients. This position involves researching, collecting, and analyzing critical data to inform strategic decisions. As a subject matter expert, you’ll support your clients' quality and patient safety initiatives, ensuring they align with the hospital’s strategic goals.
This position is based out of our corporate office in Midtown Manhattan with possible travel to any of our NYP sites and will be full-time Monday to Friday.
Preferred Criteria
- Master's degree in a related field
- Clinical Licensure (RN, PA, NP, MD, Nurse Midwife, RD, PT/OT, or PharmD)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Transplantation or Cardiac Care
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
- Strong data abstraction and analytic skills
Required Criteria
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of experience in a healthcare related position, preferably in Quality and Performance Improvement, Organ Transplantation, or Cardiology
- Advanced skills with Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other web-based applications
- Familiarity with quality and performance improvement methods
