Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.As an Infrastructure Product Owner (DevOps) – Level 5, you will be supporting our Software and Electronics/Payloads Department which has ~200 Software Engineers, DevOps Engineers, Systems Administrators, Database Administrators, Network Engineers, and Engineering Leaders from entry-level to the most senior chief engineers and architects to Product Owners and Scrum Masters. This engineering organization supports numerous programs across Divisions and Business Units of the Space Sector. We have opportunities for career advancement into higher level technical roles or leadership positions over one’s career.
This role will be located at our Aurora, CO location. On this team, you’ll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one.
This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work. This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.
The ideal candidate must have relevant DevOps experience and prior Agile Product Owner experience to join a small team as their Product Owner.
This position is contingent upon the candidate verification/obtaining final clearances and program access(es) within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company.
Basic Qualifications (must have/required to be considered):
Requires an active U.S. Government DoD Top-Secret (TS)/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance [TS/SCI] current and within scope, at time of application
Bachelor’s degree with 12 years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 10 years of professional experience – OR PhD with 8 years of professional experience. An additional 4+ years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
DevOps Engineering experience including CI/CD pipeline deployment
Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Gitlab Pipelines, and Scripting
Experience with Terraform and environment initialization
Prior Agile experience in either a Product Owner or Scrum Master role
Prior leadership experience
Preferred Qualifications (not required, but nice to have):
Prior Polygraph (CI or FS)
Current and active Security+ and CISSP certifications
Prior engineering experience within the Space Industry
Excellent presentation, communication, technical writing, and organization skills
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Experience sharing knowledge via mentoring, coaching, or training others
Experience with developing and deploying CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins or GitLab
Experience with deployment automation scripting using Helm or Ansible or related products
Experience troubleshooting virtualization, automation, and deployment applications such as Flux CD, Grafana, Athena, Prometheus, Karpenter or related products
Experience with Linux Operating Systems Preferably RHEL 8/9
Knowledge of basic networking principles (subnets, VLANs, routing, and firewalls)
