Software Development Engineer – Full-Stack & Platform Engineering
About the Role
We're looking for a full-stack engineer who's comfortable owning systems end-to-end — from React components down to cloud infrastructure — and who has exposure to Salesforce as part of a larger enterprise stack. You will work closely with architects and product stakeholders to build things that are actually maintainable, not just things that ship. That means writing design docs, pushing back when requirements don't make sense, and caring about what happens after deploy.
What You Will Work On
- Building and maintaining full-stack features using React/Next.js and Node, Python, or Go mixed in depending on the service.
- Designing APIs and microservices that hold up under real production load — proper error handling, versioning, observability baked in from the start.
- Cloud infrastructure on AWS (S3, DynamoDB, Aurora, Kinesis, Lambda, EKS) — you are not just deploying to it, you understand it and can make reasonable infrastructure decisions.
- Event-driven systems using Kafka, SNS/SQS, or Kinesis for async workflows and real-time communication between services.
- CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins) and IaC via Terraform – you have done this before.
- Containerized deployments with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS or AKS) at production scale.
- Salesforce development when it intersects with your work — Apex, LWC, platform events, and API-based integrations with external systems. Deployment tooling like SFDX, Copado, or Gearset is a plus,
- Writing technical design docs and presenting solutions for architecture review
- Production support: monitoring, debugging, and fixing things when they break.
What We Are Looking For
Must-haves:
- 6+ years building production systems, full-stack
- Production grade UI systems using React/Next.js
- Strong experience with at least one of Node, Python, Go
- Solid AWS fundamentals: compute, storage, managed databases, eventing
- Docker + Kubernetes in production (EKS or AKS)
- CI/CD and IaC experience with Terraform (preferred)
- PostgreSQL or similar relational DB, plus NoSQL (DynamoDB, CosmosDB)
- Monitoring/observability with Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch
- Good communicator — you can talk to product, engineering, and architects without switching into a different mode for each
Nice to have:
- Experience with Kafka or equivalent message streaming
- Salesforce development: Apex, LWC, SOQL, platform events, REST integrations
- Salesforce deployment tooling: SFDX, Copado, Gearset, scratch orgs
- Familiarity with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or CPQ
- Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer I/II)
- Experience integrating Salesforce with external systems via middleware (Boomi, MuleSoft)
Mindset:
- You use AI tools in your actual workflow (Copilot, Cursor, Claude, etc.) and have opinions on where they help and where they don't
- You use TDD as a development pattern
- BS/MS in CS or equivalent
