Key Responsibilities:
Investment Research:
Contribute to the investment process
Analyze investment opportunities in assigned research areas, focusing on potential return and risk;
Support investment committees to include Asset Allocation, Due Diligence, Alternatives and Fixed Income
Attend and learn from the Trust Investment Committee
Support the investment team in all aspects of portfolio management and research
Assist with investment research presentations
Portfolio Management:
Shadow experienced portfolio managers to learn best practices for managing fixed income, equities, and mutual funds.
Assist with monitoring asset allocation and observing trade executions.
Understand strategies based on the Trust Investment Committee’s approved list of investments.
Learn how to construct diversified portfolios within client investment objectives and constraints.
Assist with client portfolio management presentations
Institutional
Learn our proprietary strategies and understand the inner workings of FNBO’s full investment suite.
Assist with and pursue RFP opportunities as needed.
The Ideal Candidate for This Role:
Basic Qualifications:
Enrolled student working towards a bachelor’s or advanced degree in related field.
Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher after freshman year.
Working knowledge of Microsoft office products.
Ability to identify and recommend objective solutions to problems.
Ability to present information and reporting in a clear and concise manner.
Ability to work independently and multi-task while adhering to multiple timetables of completion.
Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) during summer.
Must work onsite 4 days per week.
Desired Qualifications:
Must be a current university student or recent graduate pursuing a degree in Investment Management or related field.
Interest in Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program
