Job Summary
NXP Semiconductors France is seeking a Principal System Engineer to lead the architectural definition, design, and implementation of complex embedded systems, ensuring cutting-edge performance and reliability for our next-generation semiconductor products.
The preferred candidate is mid level experienced system engineer with prior work expertise in system engineering, modeling, performance study, etc
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the system-level architecture definition and design for new semiconductor products, encompassing hardware, software, and firmware aspects.
- Conduct detailed system analysis, requirements gathering, and specification development, translating product requirements into technical solutions.
- Perform feasibility studies, trade-off analyses, and risk assessments for proposed system architectures.
- Collaborate closely with hardware, software, and verification teams to ensure seamless integration and validation of system components.
- Develop and implement system-level test plans and strategies to ensure robust functionality and performance.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Act as a key technical interface with customers, understanding their needs and translating them into technical requirements and solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement in system engineering processes and methodologies.
- Contribute to intellectual property generation through patent disclosures and technical publications.
Job Qualifications
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 12+ years of experience in system engineering, with a strong focus on embedded systems and semiconductor product development.
- Excellent written, oral and presentation capability
- Individual contributor but works closely with team members from diverse cultures and geographies
- Strong expertise in programming and modeling - C, C++, MATLAB, Python,
- Sold experience in wireless communication system design, or control system design, DC-DC modeling and performance analysis, jitter modeling
- Worked in product specification and development in analog-mixed signal domain
