Lead Coordinator (Shipping & Receiving)

Shift: Monday - Friday from 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (or until work is completed)

Anticipated hourly range: $24 - $32 per hour (includes shift differential)

The hourly range listed is an estimate. Pay at Cardinal Health is determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographical location, relevant education, experience and skills and an evaluation of internal pay equity.

What Transportation contributes to Cardinal Health

Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning.

Transportation is responsible for the movement of materials and products between suppliers, manufacturing, warehousing and the customer. Management of transportation assets and systems to gain greater service, cost efficiency and optimization of processes.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience, preferred
• High School Diploma, GED or technical certification in related field or equivalent experience, preferred

Responsibilities:

• Supports daily transportation operations through inbound scheduling, outbound planning, and shipment coordination activities.
• Manages and prioritizes customer orders through warehouse management systems, email, and phone communication while ensuring timely and efficient movement of freight.
• Coordinating inbound appointments, releasing outbound work to the warehouse floor.
• Supports special order handling, selecting appropriate transportation methods, and partnering with dispatch, warehouse operations, customer care, carriers, and third-party logistics providers to maintain service, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. 
• Supports capacity planning, issue resolution, and transportation execution to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
• Serves as a key operational partner across transportation and warehouse teams, working independently to resolve issues, support execution, and provide guidance to less experienced team members when needed.
