The Graduate Assistant, under general supervision, will assist the Cooperative Agricultural Research Center by providing assistance with research. This position is grant-funded or supported by restricted funding. Continued employment is contingent upon the renewal of the grant or restricted funding source.
Responsibilities:
Engage in studying ways to improve food and food safety
Assist researcher in interpreting data gathered from characterizations using the necessary equipment
Help maintain a healthy living by engaging in the study of plants and extracting plant materials, water, engineering as it applies to agricultural issues
Other duties as required
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in an applicable field.
Must be enrolled as a full-time graduate student at Prairie View A&M University. (Minimum of 9 credit hours during the regular fall and spring semesters and 6 semester credit hours for the summer semesters).
Must be in good academic standing.
