About the role
The Engineering, Enablement & Operations (EE&O) team enables the Microsoft Commercial Business to better serve every person and organization’s transformation and economic success. This work includes designing and managing systems, tools, and strategies across compensation, performance insights, planning, skilling, and sales tools. The EE&O Revenue Strategy team supports every person in Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS) in serving customers by activating and evolving Microsoft’s commercial engine.
As a Director, Sales Strategy Enablement Process Design & Adoption within EE&O Revenue Strategy, you will own the design and execution of resource planning processes across a global, cross-functional organization. You will define scalable operating models, establish governance and execution cadence, and ensure consistent, quality delivery. This role applies systems thinking to translate complex work into clear, repeatable processes and supports operational consistency through continuous improvement.
You will also lead and develop a team, balancing support for individuals with clear performance expectations. This includes providing direct feedback and reinforcing a culture of accountability, clarity, and continuous improvement. The role requires credibility with leadership stakeholders, along with the ability to contribute to decisions, represent team priorities, and maintain focus on priority outcomes.

Responsibilities

- Lead the design and execution of an end-to-end resource planning system, ensuring processes are clearly defined and consistently applied

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Engineering or related field AND 5+ years of experience in business consulting, sales, sales operations, information technology (IT), account management, business development, marketing, IT field sales, engineering or a related field
- OR equivalent experience
- 4+ years of experience in in Near Term Strategy (2 years out), Management Consulting, Sales, or Finance
Preferred Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in in Near Term Strategy (2 years out), Management Consulting, Sales, or Finance
- 4+ years people management experience
- Experience designing end-to-end processes, including simplifying complex, cross-functional workflows into scalable operating models
- Experience defining governance structures and decision frameworks that clarify ownership, roles, and priorities
- Experience owning large, recurring operational processes (e.g., planning cycles), including managing cadence, dependencies, and predictable delivery
- Ability to apply systems thinking to translate complex work into clear, repeatable processes
- Ability to align cross-functional teams in matrixed environments and contribute to decision-making without direct authority
- Experience leading and developing teams, including providing direct feedback, setting clear performance expectations, and reinforcing a culture of accountability, clarity, and continuous improvement
Sales Strategy Enablement M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900.00 - $251,900.00 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600.00 - $272,300.00 per year.
