Summary:

The Procurement Director serves as EverTrue’s enterprise procurement leader, responsible for full lifecycle of purchasing and sourcing activities across the enterprise.  The Procurement Director ensures fiscally responsible, ethical and mission-aligned procurement practices supporting quality, operational consistency and regulatory compliance. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Manages the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, including sourcing, vendor selection, contract negotiation, implementation, and ongoing performance management

2. Designs and maintains standardized procurement processes appropriate for EverTrue’s communities and service lines

3. Balances cost management with quality, safety, service reliability, and stakeholder experience

4. Promotes ethical sourcing and responsible vendor partnerships

5. Partners with Operations, Clinical, Culinary, Facilities, and Finance leaders to understand their needs and align procurement solutions with operational realities

6. Supports community and service line leaders by providing guidance, tools, training, and resources to enable consistent purchasing practices

7. Influences the adoption of standardized vendors and contracts through collaboration (rather than direct authority)

8. Leads negotiations and manages enterprise-wide contracts across key spend categories (dining, clinical supplies, facilities, capital equipment, IT, and professional services)

9. Tracks contract terms, renewals, pricing compliance, and vendor performance

10. Tracks and reports procurement performance metrics, savings results, and vendor compliance to leadership

11. Identifies and mitigates supply chain risks, including vendor dependency and disruption

12. Supports budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning through procurement insights and market intelligence

13. Ensures procurement policies, contracts, and practices comply with EverTrue standards and applicable federal, state, and local regulations

14. Works with vice-presidents to support efforts throughout EverTrue to establish “formularies” for the needed products and services

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred

  • 5+ years of prior experience in purchasing

  • Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-wide sourcing and contract negotiations across multiple locations

  • Strong negotiation, contract management, and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Experience with procurement systems, spend analytics, and ERP or purchasing platforms

  • Ability to influence without authority and manage change across decentralized environments

  • Commitment to mission-driven work and ethical decision-making

  • Healthcare-related experience strongly preferred

A well-lighted and ventilated working area that has temperature control system (air conditioning and heat).  The work will have some short notice requests, timelines for completion of tasks or reports and some major projects extending over months. Minimal exposure to infectious diseases and blood borne pathogens.  Minimal exposure to chemicals and hazardous waste.  Minimal exposure to outside weather conditions.
