- Oversees daily operations of the employee health department to ensure effective and efficient service delivery.
- Develop, implement, and oversee Employee Health Services policies and procedures.
- Oversees mandatory health screenings and immunizations (e.g., TB testing, flu shots) and ensures compliance with hospital policies for pre-employment and annual health clearances.
- Provides departments and leadership updates on compliance for annual clearances, flu vaccination status, and fit-test for applicable staff.
- Stays informed on the latest healthcare trends to implement the best practices in employee health services.
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to employee health, including OSHA, HIPAA, and others.
- Oversees the workers compensation claims process.
- Supervises the clearance process for employees returning from medical leaves of absence.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Public Health preferred.
- NYS RN Licensure required.
- 5+ years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 3 years in occupational health or employee health in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Experience in a leadership or management role is strongly preferred.
- Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN), Certified Occupational Health Nurse-Specialist (COHN-S), or similar credential preferred.
- Certification in infection control (CIC) or other relevant fields is a plus.

Salary Range: $135,000 - $150,000
