We’re currently seeking an Accounts Assistant (Casual) at 1 Hotel Mayfair to support the integrity and accuracy of the hotel’s financial operations. This role is all about precision, accountability, and ensuring every transaction tells the right story. You’ll play an essential part in safeguarding revenue across all departments, identifying discrepancies before they become issues, and helping maintain strong financial controls that support the success of the business.
Working closely with the Management Accountant and Finance team, you’ll reconcile daily revenue activity, verify financial data, and contribute to timely and accurate reporting. Success in this role comes from curiosity, attention to detail, and the ability to balance analytical thinking with collaboration across hotel operations.
About you…
Passionate about finance, accuracy, and maintaining strong financial controls within a fast-paced environment.
Previous experience in finance, accounting, or hotel revenue/income auditing is preferred.
A qualification or studies in Finance, Accounting, or Business would be advantageous but not essential.
Comfortable working with financial systems, with strong Microsoft Excel skills; experience with PMS, POS, or accounting systems is a plus.
Naturally analytical, with strong numerical skills and the ability to interpret financial data accurately.
Highly detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
Able to identify discrepancies, investigate variances, and support process improvements proactively.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet reporting deadlines.
A collaborative team player who works effectively with both Finance and operational departments.
Confident working independently, exercising initiative and sound judgement when resolving issues.
Flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of a dynamic hotel operation.
Shift Pattern 3/4 days a week role
