Job Description
We are looking for an Environmental Affairs Consultant to join the GBS Environmental Health & Safety and Product Stewardship organization, driving integrated Sustainability, ESG, and Green Deal compliance to support the evolving needs of PPG entities.
Location: Wrocław, Curie-Skłodowskiej 12
Work Model: Hybrid (3 office days)
Responsibilities:
- Reporting in the field of environmental protection - collecting and completing data and its processing, cooperation with other corporate units in the implementation of good practices and improvement of the data acquisition methodology
- KOBiZE and fee reports to Voivodeship Marshals (emissions from production processes, as well as fuel combustion installations, combustion engines, air conditioning)
- Cooperation with external companies in the implementation of reporting obligations in connection with the introduction of packaging by the company to the domestic market, including packaging for hazardous substances and multi-material packaging (quarterly data for recovery organizations and chambers of recovery employers)
- VOC balance,
- BDO – waste (including waste from stores – a total of over 40 locations throughout the country), packaging (import – export)
- PRTR, Central Statistical Office (OS-1, OS-3, OS-6, G-06, L-02, OS-29k)
- Reports on water management to Polish Waters, WIOŚ and Marshal's Offices (statements for variable fees, reports on the quantity and quality of sewage and the amount of water collected);
- Monthly corporate reporting in accordance with applicable standards (waste, air emissions, water and sewage management), preparing reports and analyzes for the company's needs
- Coordination of reporting in terms of legal and environmental requirements, analysis of acquired data (raw and processed) in terms of compliance with decisions and legal requirements, indicating differences and deviations in individual reporting periods and striving to determine the reasons for their occurrence;
- Representing the company in the field of environmental protection in contact with public administration and control bodies (within the scope of reporting);
- Cooperation with employees at various levels within corporate units in Poland;
- Participation in corporate projects as part of improving the acquisition of data for reporting, standardizing the methodology
- Cooperation with accredited laboratories in the field of obtaining reports and preparing and submitting data to the Offices
Requirements
- Higher education in environmental protection, environmental engineering or a related field
- Experience in a similar position, preferred in a manufacturing company (3-4 years of experience)
- Fluent Polish and English is a must
- Practical knowledge of current environmental protection regulations (including, among others, Environmental Protection Law, Waste Act, Water Law, Act on packaging and packaging waste management and implementing regulations)
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
- Preferred knowledge of SAP/Oracle in generating data reports necessary to prepare environmental reporting
- Knowledge of the functioning and experience in using KOBiZE, BDO, PRTR, GUS
- Ability to organize one's own work, punctuality, systematicity, accuracy, conscientiousness
- Independence, commitment and own initiative in proposing changes, new solutions, etc.
- Ability to perform several tasks simultaneously
- Ability to communicate and cooperate in a team
